We can happily announce that the Dutch Dean van der Sluijs is to be seen in yellow and blue in the future. Dean comes from the Dutch club TOP Oss, which is in 7th place in the Erste divisie. With that, we had a little chat with the player himself and head coach Eirik Kjønø about the signing.

– Dean is an experienced left-footed left-back who likes to play offensively and has a good crossing foot. He comes with a lot of experience and has played at a slightly higher level than the obosliga before, so we are looking forward to getting him started and getting to know him, says head coach Eirik Kjønø about the new signing.

In the right place

– I have never been to Norway. My first impression so far is very good. The grass is top notch and the club has welcomed me well. Jerv has already given me a good feeling here. I’m looking forward to playing for Jerv in the future, says Dean.

What are your strengths as a soccer player?

– Combining, hitting posts and crossing. I like to go forward and attack, but of course also defend, says the experienced defender.

– I have greeted the player group. It’s a nice group and I know Jeremy Cjintje as I’ve played against him before. It is also nice to get to know other Dutch players like Leandro, as they are from my area, says Dean, who is looking forward to getting started and hopes to be ready to play next Wednesday against Mjøndalen.
