We had a bit of a cup drama at Fosshaugane tonight – and otherwise we are still without promotion.
It was the visitors who opened the scoring ball, and who else but Kristian Fardal Opseth could send the visitors into the lead after 10 minutes of the first half.
Our lads got blood on their teeth and played great football where they combined well and created scoring chances. It was fully deserved that we could equalize at 1-1 32 minutes into the half through Jónatan Jónsson after a great preparation by Sondre Ørjasæter.
And there was more. Kasper Skaanes found Isaac Twum with a great pass. Twum had plenty of time and was able to score 2-1 to the home team. This was also called a break.
The second half continued as before the break, and when captain Per-Egil Flo headed in 3-1 after 67 minutes, we could assume that a cup match was in the offing at Fosshaugane.
But then it was Kristian, then. One should have it from one’s own, so he scored two more. And when Joachim Soltvedt knocked the ball into the field at 3-3 in the 88th minute, the ball hit Per-Egil and then the net. 3-4 and that was it.
We talked to a sad, but also very proud coach after the match.
– Karane played a very good football match, said Tore André Flo after the match.
Now it’s time to recuperate well already, on Saturday at 15:00 there is a new match in the OBOS league, away to Skeid. But in the NM the adventure is over for this time.
