Big game in the OBOS league
Oscar Aga (22) already made a name for himself as an 18-year-old when he scored a hat-trick for Stabæk in the 2nd round of the National Championship. As a 19-year-old, there were 15 goals in the OBOS league for Grorud, and in 2021 it really took off when he scored a total of 24 goals in 28 games in OBOS.
After the season, he was sold to the Swedish top club Elfsborg, but after little playing time in the Allsvenskan, he moved on to RBK this winter. Under Kjetil Rekdal’s management and in a 3-5-2 formation, the Oslo boy played a lot, but when Rosenborg switched to 4-3-3 earlier this summer, there was less playing time for the goalscorer. Then the opportunity opened up for a loan to FFK, now Aga is looking forward to an exciting autumn in Fredrikstad.
“I got a very good impression of the club and how it works here. Fredrikstad is a big club with a lot of interest, and I have faith that it can be a good autumn for me and the team. Now I’m looking forward to coming in time, get to know the guys and contribute as best I can for a promotion this autumn!”. Tells Oscar.
Running machine with a nose for the target
Oscar Aga has scored goals at Fredrikstad Stadium before, then as a Grorud player, now Joacim Heier hopes that the forward will be a strong contributor for FFK this autumn.
“We are very pleased that we are bringing in Oscar. It is well documented what he can contribute to the goalscoring record. He is a skilled man in front of goal and in the relational game, in addition he has a great work capacity and can put down the the meters that our football requires. He is also a top person with exactly the attitudes we require in FFK”. Says Heier.
Good teamwork
Aga comes on loan for the rest of the season from Rosenborg. FFK thanks the people of Trønder for their good cooperation and seamless process in connection with the loan.
Aga trains with his new teammates on Thursday and will be there when FFK meets Moss at the Stadium on Saturday at 15:00.
