Wilfred George Igor (18) is ready for KBK. The midfielder from Nigeria has trained with the club for two periods, and will now become a KBK player.

George arrives on loan from Nigerian club Hype Buzz. The loan agreement lasts until the 2023 season, and KBK has an option to buy.

– He is a blank slate for most people here in Norway, but is a player we have watched and evaluated for several months. He is only 18 years old, and we should have reasonable expectations in view of his age, but we also hope that he will contribute at once, says Eirik Hoseth, sporting manager at KBK.

George came for a trial at KBK right after the players had returned from the summer holidays, and the Nigerian took part in five sessions in the run-up to the autumn season. He then went on trial to a club in the French Ligue 1, before returning to Kristiansund.

– We have got a very good impression of George. With the loan agreement, there is no high cost for KBK, and we have the opportunity to secure a permanent transition later, says Hoseth.

Wilfred George Igor is described as a typical 6 with great physique, and he can play alone as a deep midfielder or as part of a midfield duo.
