FK Jerv has agreed with FC Midtjylland on a transfer of head coach Arne Sandstø with immediate effect. Sandstø joins as first team coach at FC Midtjylland.
Arne has now been at the club for 7.5 years and has achieved fantastic progression and results for which we are eternally grateful. He has done far more than can be expected of a head coach. This both in the club, among partners and in the media. Arne writes himself into Jerv’s history books in gold script.
– We would like to keep Arne at the club further, but at the same time we fully understand and respect that he wants this transition. Arne is a unique, passionate footballer who always gives 100% of himself. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done for the club. With that, we wish Arne lots of luck in his new job and we hope to see him at Levermyr when he is in Grimstad, says chairman Øyvind Johannesen.
Work on hiring a new head coach will begin immediately.
– The fact that coaches change jobs is a natural part of football. Although it is extra special for us as Arne has meant so much to the club for a long time, says Johannesen.
– In the meantime, this does not change anything in relation to the goals we have set ourselves and we are setting out to find the best coach who can contribute to the club taking the next steps towards the Eliteserien, says Øyvind Johannesen in conclusion.
